Turco Leads Caterpillars to Win
The Peoria Caterpillars downed the Minneapolis Freeze, 9-1, at The Ice Box. The Caterpillars were led by Ritchie Turco. Turco went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Minneapolis now has a record of 10-10.

Nathan Albury had a big 2-run double for the Caterpillars in the top of the fourth inning. With Peoria leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a fastball from 32-year old right-handed pitcher Matthew Otto and swatted a double to center. It was his 4th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Caterpillars ahead, 3-0.

"We took a roundhouse punch to the chin," said losing manager Ben Jeffcoat.
