The Hawaii-Maple matchup turned into a real hit parade.

The Hawaii Honu withstood a fine game by Maple designated hitter Earl Bitner at Magnificent Marauders Mansion, to upend the Marauders, 13-10. Bitner went 3-4 with 2 home runs, a double, and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 3. The Marauders fall to 6-12 and continue to sputter in the early going.

Hawaii took the lead, 9-8, on Sandy Rosales's 4th home run of the season. The 2-run home run came off Maple pitcher Allen Justice in the top of the seventh.

"It's always a heck of a lot easier to get to sleep after a win," Rosales told the Hawaii Daily. "I know I'll rest easy tonight."
