Armadillos Rally to Nose Past Pasadena
|
Pasadena got a decent performance from pitcher George White, but it wasn't enough to beat the Amarillo Armadillos. Amarillo won the Armadillos Park contest, 5-4. White threw 8.1 innings of 3-hit ball for the losing team. David Frisk, credited with the win in relief, is now 1-2. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1 innings. The loss lowers the Pasadena record to 11-10.
The decisive blow was delivered by Chris Hart in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a bases-clearing double off 23-year old left-handed pitcher Ryan Sartore to win the game for Amarillo. The home crowd went nuts.
"This game had its share of tense moments," Hart said, postgame.
