Spirited fans greeted the Joplin Fireballs for their clash with the Indianapolis Ambition.

The Indianapolis Ambition beat the Joplin Fireballs, 5-0, at The Firepit. Starting pitcher Caleb Brock was a big reason why. He held his opponent in check all game. After losing, Joplin is 4-17.

Indianapolis used the hitting of Rich Van Winkle to pick up the win. The first baseman clubbed a grand slam home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Ambition on top, 5-0. For the game, Van Winkle had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"I liked his command," said Indianapolis manager Zi-jun Gou. "Caleb was throwing strikes."
