Antioch Stays Hot with 6-3 Win
The Antioch Coal Miners faced a tough opponent in Calgary pitcher Donovan Zuidema, but did just enough to pull out the victory at The Coal Mine by a final score of 6-3. Zuidema went 6.1 innings and allowed 3 runs. The win was the 16th in 19 games this season for the Coal Miners. It's a terrific start for a team that appears on course for a return trip to the playoffs.

Antioch pinch hitter George Blackburn helped the Coal Miners go up, 4-3, in the bottom of the seventh inning. With the game tied, Blackburn hit a run-scoring single off Calgary pitcher Nazir Nance.

Blackburn attributed the win to "concerted effort and focus."
