Caterpillars Handle Billings, Snag 5-3 Win
The Peoria Caterpillars topped the Billings Mustangs, 5-3, with right fielder Mitch Barrett playing a big role. Barrett was 2-3 with 2 singles, a walk, and was hit by a pitch, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Caterpillars in the win. The Caterpillars, now 13-5, have played some good baseball in the early going.

Barrett contributed in the bottom of the first. With the bases loaded, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run. It was one at-bat among others that helped Peoria get the win.

"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Peoria manager Scott Andrews. "It's usually not just one thing."
