Though he had a terrific game, Matt Yardley could not prevent his team, the Billings Mustangs, from absorbing a loss. Peoria won the game, 6-4. Yardley was 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs. With the win, Peoria is 14-5.

Peoria right fielder Tony Carrillo contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the second. With two down, he hit a fastball to center field for a 2-run single. It was his 2nd hit of the season and put the Caterpillars ahead, 3-0.

"Nice win for us," said Carrillo. "Now we'll go after the next one."
