McCann, Swallowtails Too Much for Flash
The State College-Fairfield matchup turned into a slugfest.

The State College Swallowtails defeated the Fairfield Flash, 12-11. Doing his part was first baseman Beau McCann, who was 4 for 4 with a home run, 2 doubles, and a walk, while scoring 4 and driving in 2. State College reliever Kevin Warby picked up the win, upping his record to 1-1. Scott White was saddled with the loss. Bobby Yates finished to wrap up his 2nd save.

State College used the clutch hitting of Justin Moe to capture the win. The second baseman drilled a bases-clearing double in the top of the ninth inning to give the Swallowtails the lead, 12-9. For the game, Moe had 2 singles and 1 double in 5 at-bats.

"It was one of those games where both teams were swinging the bat well," McCann said.

State College has a mark of 9-14 after the win.
