The Bighorn Bison claimed a close win over the Bloomington Blazers, due in large part to Gordie White. The Bighorn right-hander pitched a great game to secure the 2-1 win. White, the winner, moves to 1-2. He threw 6.1 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 4 and giving up 3 walks. Mike Lake finished the game for Bighorn and earned his 2nd save.
Bighorn used a timely hit from Riley Andrus to get the win. The right fielder stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Bison ahead, 2-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it made an impact.
"Our pitching was the difference tonight," Andrus said.
With the win, Bighorn improves its record to 7-11.
