Extra-Inning Walk-Off Win for Armadillos
The Amarillo Armadillos downed the Peoria Caterpillars, 8-7. The hitting star was designated hitter Carlos Ayala. Ayala went 4 for 7 with 4 singles and 2 walks, while scoring 2 runs for the Armadillos. Amarillo reliever Radhi Tuwile picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Gerald Bosma absorbed the loss. Peoria is 17-7 after the loss.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the 17th. With one out, Ayala hit a slider from Chris Schurman for a run-scoring single. The Armadillos, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

Ayala said afterward that he was "glad the fans were treated to a good ballgame."
