The Kansas City Tornadoes defeated the Chicago Eclipse, 15-5, in Roberto Clemente League action at Debris Field. Ramon Tapia pulled his weight. The 12-year veteran was 2-4 with a double and 2 walks. He scored 2 times and drove in 4. Kansas City, now 8-12, is off to a slow start.

Vinnie Fasnacht, who finished 5th in the TML in wins above replacement with 5.9 in 2062, took Chicago hurler Nick Leicht deep in the bottom of the second. His 2-run home run put the Tornadoes on top, 2-0. In all, Fasnacht had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 6.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Tapia told the Kansas City Bulletin.
