Jared Vanderford, who leads the RAAA in complete games with 1, pitched well, but the Thunder Bay Black Bears still fell short, losing, 4-3, to the Fort Worth Cats at LaGrave Field. Fort Worth is now 10-19.

Fort Worth went up, 4-3, on Bryant Wight's 5th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Wight hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Thunder Bay pitcher Jared Vanderford shaking his head.

Wight called the win the result of "everyone working in tandem."
