Mike Grant led Albany to a win over Billings. The final score was 11-10. The Owensboro, Kentucky native collected 3 extra-base hits, including 2 home runs and 1 double. Jeff Kappel was the winner. He's now 1-0. The loser was 23-year old right-handed pitcher Jason Martin.

With Albany leading 10-2 in the top of the eighth, Grant came up to bat against Billings pitcher Carlos Montelongo. Grant hit a fastball to center for a run-scoring double. His 4th double of the season put the Firebirds on top, 11-2.

"We're producers not directors," said Grant. "Produce a good swing. Can't direct where it goes."

The Mustangs, now 7-20, continue their poor start.
