Led by 21-year-old Jeremy Nielson, the Pasadena Bumblebees knocked off the Amarillo Armadillos, 5-2. Nielson was 2 for 2 with a home run, a double, and 2 walks, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the Bumblebees. With the win, the Bumblebees hiked their record to 22-11.

Nielson had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the eighth. On a 1-1 slider from Mike LaRiviere, he banged a 3-run home run to right-center, giving the Bumblebees a 5-2 lead. It was the 1st home run of the year for Nielson.

"Jeremy is still learning," said Bumblebees manager David Williams. "The sky's the limit for him."
