Kent Goes Deep Twice in 9-2 Fireballs Win
The 7-RBI night of third baseman Erik Kent, who is tied for 3rd in the TAAA in RBI with 26, helped the Joplin Fireballs triumph, 9-2, over the Minneapolis Freeze. Joplin pitcher Raul Capetillo got the win. He's now 5-2. Victor Hernandez was tagged with the loss. The loss makes Minneapolis 17-17.

With Joplin leading 5-2 in the top of the ninth, Kent hit a sinker from Josh Youmans for a grand slam home run. It was his 7th home run of the season and put the Fireballs ahead, 9-2.

Said Joplin manager Wade Marone: "Our approach was outstanding all night long."
