Riding the 4-hit performance of the 27-year old first baseman Ben Petrich, the Peoria Caterpillars defeated the Billings Mustangs, 5-0. Mike Kalk collected his 2nd save. Peoria is now 23-10, 6 games up in the TML AAA Cito Gaston League.

The game turned with two out in the bottom of the fourth. That's when Petrich hit a run-scoring single off John Koch. It propelled the Caterpillars into the lead, 1-0.

"It's no secret that good defense follows around people who throw strikes," said Peoria manager Leonard Lee.
