Behind the hitting of Steve Porter, the Pasadena Bumblebees stopped the Minneapolis Freeze, 9-7. Porter went 3-4 with a triple, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 for the Bumblebees. Pasadena now sits at 19-16, while Minneapolis falls to 18-15.

Pasadena used the timely hitting of Joe Butts to seize the win. The catcher stroked a 2-run single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Bumblebees on top, 9-7. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Butts.
