In a low-scoring contest between the Pasadena Bumblebees and the Minneapolis Freeze, Edwin Cueva, who is tied for 3rd in the TAAA in wins with 4, proved to be the difference. The Pasadena right-hander earned props for his performance in the 3-2 Bumblebees win. The win gives Pasadena a record of 14-15.
Hugo Calvo, who is tied for 5th in the TAAA in runs scored with 23, had a direct impact on the outcome. Calvo contributed a 2-run triple in the top of the second inning to put Pasadena up, 3-0.
"No disrespect to the other team," said Pasadena manager David Williams. "But it's nice to get an easy win."
