Calgary designated hitter John Hamilton helped his team beat the Bowling Green Racers, 5-2. Hamilton, who is tied for 6th in the RAAA in RBI with 24, went 1 for 3 for the Hitmen. The winner was Jose Marquez, who threw 101 pitches over 6.1 innings. The left-hander was charged with 2 runs on 6 hits. The Hitmen improved their record to 21-13 by beating Bowling Green.

Calgary grabbed the momentum in the bottom of the fifth, when Hamilton hit a 3-run home run off Jesus Giron. His 7th home run of the season put the Hitmen out in front, 5-2.

"No disrespect to the other team," said Calgary manager Brandon Ashley. "But it's nice to get an easy win."
