Cozumel Beaches starter Devon Mathis pitched effectively against the Waimea Wind at Bar Habor Stadium. The right-hander spearheaded his team's 5-4 win. Devon Mathis picked up the win in relief for Cozumel, while Bob Harrigan took the loss. The Beaches, now 24-16, know that wins in May count the same as wins in September.

The Beaches got a big at-bat from right fielder Antonio Paiz. For the game, Paiz went 1 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 7th home run of the season gave Cozumel a 4-2 lead.
