Albuquerque turned a fine outing from starter Elijah Gourdine into a victory over the State College Swallowtails at Albuquerque Sports Stadium. The final score was 1-0 in 10 innings. The Cacti raised their record to 22-11.

The Cacti got a clutch hit from second baseman Charles McNeil. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Cacti.

"We had a hellacious effort," said Cacti manager Randy Haynes. "We hung in there and hung in there."
