Cowboys Down Swallowtails, 4-1

Calgary pitcher Ryan Martin had a large part in his team beating the State College Swallowtails, 4-1. The left-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. In 7.1 innings, Martin surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 1. He allowed 1 run. The Cowboys, at 23-18, sit in second place in the RCL AAA Tony La Russa Division.
The Cowboys got a big at-bat from left fielder Chris Schwegler. For the game, Schwegler was 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the third, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 8th home run of the season gave Calgary a 4-1 lead.
"The fans pay the tickets and help us do what we do, so we like to put on a show for them," Martin told the Calgary Times.
