The inspired effort of Albuquerque second baseman Noah Kate was not enough to prevent a loss, 5-4, to the Thunder Bay Black Bears. Kate was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs. The Black Bears go to 16-21, putting them 6th in the RCL AAA Tony La Russa Division.

Jeff Parks was the walk-off hero for Thunder Bay. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Black Bears left fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
