Miller 4-for-4 in Calgary Win
|
Mike Miller knocked in 3 runs to help the Calgary Cowboys win, 5-1, over the State College Swallowtails. Picking up his 8th save was 25-year old right-handed pitcher Gary Selby. The Cowboys, at 24-18, sit in second place in the RCL AAA Tony La Russa Division.
With Calgary leading 2-1 in the bottom of the sixth, Miller hit a run-scoring single off State College hurler Billy Seal. It was the 33rd hit of the season for Miller and put his team ahead, 3-1.
"Whenever we hold the other team to one run," said Cowboys manager Thomas Hughes, "I like our chances."
