At Golden Fleece Park, the Astoria Argonauts and Albuquerque Cacti were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.

Astoria got a terrific game from catcher Bill Epperson. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Albuquerque, 8-6. Epperson went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Jeff Andrew, 2-0, earned the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 3 hits in 2.2 innings. Earning his 2nd save of the year was Yoo-ngan Chen.

C.J. Parrish came through with a big-time hit for Albuquerque. The designated hitter smacked a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning to give his team the lead, 7-6. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"We'll kick back tonight and enjoy this win," said Parrish.

Astoria has now lost 4 in a row.
