Baton Rouge Outlaws pitcher Jordan Phelps was in fine form, leading his team past the Astoria Argonauts, 5-1. The win went to Brad Pecore in relief, making him now 2-1. Josh Hall took the loss for Astoria. The Outlaws, at 17-20, sit in 6th place in the RCL AAA Bobby Cox Division.

Ross Thambo took Astoria hurler Walt MacNevin deep in the bottom of the eighth. His 2-run home run put the Outlaws on top, 3-1. In all, Thambo had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
