Dan Edwards was a vital contributor to the 7-6 Walnut Creek victory over Havana. The Warriors right fielder went 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Reliever Juan Cruz picked up the win. His record improves to 1-0. Andy Schutt, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2057 draft, took the loss. Walnut Creek is off to a hot start at 12-6.

Walnut Creek got a knockout punch from Kevin McArdle. The first baseman hammered a solo home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.
