Albuquerque Topples State College, 7-3
The Albuquerque Cacti beat the State College Swallowtails, 7-3. Albuquerque pitcher and New York, native Jason McConville led the way. McConville, who is tied for 2nd in the RAAA in innings pitched with 67.2, went the distance for Albuquerque. He gave up 3 runs on 5 hits. The Swallowtails, at 16-29, have lost 4 straight games.

Jose Sierra drove in one run for Albuquerque. The 23-year old second baseman had a key at-bat in the top of the fifth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Ron Phillips. It was his 15th RBI of the season.

"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," McConville said after the game.
