GAME ID: 2495 - TUESDAY, MAY 27TH , 2064 - GAME LOG

Reno Raiders (27-19) 1 0 1 0 1 1 2 1 2 9 12 0
Amarillo Armadillos (22-25) 0 3 1 0 0 1 2 1 0 8 9 1
Raiders Sneak Past Armadillos, 9-8
The 9-8 Reno win over Amarillo was due in large part to Nick Carson. The Raiders designated hitter went 2 for 3 with a home run, 2 walks, and was hit by a pitch. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. The winner was Joe Gleason in relief. His record improves to 3-1. Ashton Roberge took the loss. The first-place Raiders have won 6 consecutive games.

Reno used the timely hitting of Pete May to seize the win. The second baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Raiders on top, 9-8. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"You start putting runs on the board and winning, everyone's going to get excited," said Carson.
