Edgbaston was the site of an exciting ballgame between the Calgary Cowboys and Thunder Bay Black Bears.

The Calgary Cowboys downed the Thunder Bay Black Bears, 10-9, at Edgbaston. Bob Lamanske led the way, going 4-for-5 for Calgary. Alberto Ponce earned the save for Calgary, his 3rd.

The game was all tied up in the top of the ninth, until Lamanske delivered big-time for Calgary, stroking a dramatic solo home run off Mike Perschau. The game-changing hit put the Cowboys on top, 10-9.

"Swingers' gonna swing," said Lamanske, after the high-scoring affair.

The win puts Calgary at 27-19 this season.
