Raiders Suffer 6-2 Road Loss
|
Matt Griffin helped his team muscle past the Reno Raiders, 6-2. In the game, the Amarillo first baseman was 1-2 with a home run and 2 walks. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Mark Hartje, the winning pitcher, is now 6-3. He went 6.1 innings, allowing 2 runs on 8 hits, while fanning 6 and walking 2. Amarillo is now 23-25, while Reno is 27-20.
With Amarillo leading 3-0 in the bottom of the fifth, Griffin hit a fastball from John Tait for a 3-run home run. It was his 9th home run of the season and put the Armadillos ahead, 6-0.
