Bill Dukes pitched well, but the Pasadena Bumblebees still lost the game, falling, 3-2, to the Indianapolis Ambition at Ken Griffey Jr. Plaza. Indianapolis reliever Dan Gardner picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Bill Dukes took the loss. David Lewis earned save number 6 this season.
The Ambition got a big at-bat from third baseman John McCluskey. For the game, McCluskey went 1-3 with a home run. In the bottom of the second, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Indianapolis a 3-2 lead.
"The fact of the matter is that we had a shot to win," said losing manager David Williams.
Indianapolis has now won 4 games in a row.
