Though he had a stellar game, Myles Leyte could not prevent his team, the Calgary Cowboys, from losing, 6-5, to the Fairfield Flash. Leyte went 3 for 3 with 2 doubles and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. The Flash bumped their record to 22-21 with this win.
John Myers took Calgary hurler Bobby Mendoza deep in the bottom of the seventh. His 2-run home run put the Flash on top, 6-5. In all, Myers had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Myers told the Fairfield News.
