Chris Lechelt, who is tied for 4th in the RAAA in wins with 5, propelled his team to victory over the Baton Rouge Outlaws. The final score was 5-3, Albuquerque. Lechelt yielded no runs over 5.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 2, and struck out 3. His record improves to 5-2. By defeating Baton Rouge, the first-place Cacti improved to 26-15.

Albuquerque used the timely hitting of Ozzie Ruiz to seize the win. The center fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Cacti on top, 5-3. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Winning is seldom easy in this league," said Ruiz.
