The Chicago Eclipse used the hitting of right fielder Sean Martineau to subdue the Eureka Hornets, 7-5. For the game, Martineau went 1 for 2 with a home run, a walk, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. The win gives Chicago a record of 13-9.

Had Brad Davidson not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Davidson hit a 2-run single. That made the score 7-5, in favor of the Eclipse.

"Being able to play a game for a living is one thing. Being able to play it well and contribute to a win is even better," Davidson told the Chicago Chronicle.
