Hicks Lifts Privateers to 11-7 Triumph
Jeffrey Hicks knocked in 6 runs to help Memphis beat Billings, 11-7. The Cleveland, Ohio native tallied 1 single and 2 home runs. The Privateers, at 23-23, sit in third place in the RCL AAA Bobby Cox Division.

The Mustangs had been locked in a 7-7 tie with the Privateers going into the bottom of the eighth inning. That changed quickly when the 30-year old left fielder Roberto Dolores came to the plate. Dolores hit a run-scoring double on a 0-1 fastball from Billings hurler Jeremy Balla. It was Dolores's 8th double of the year.

Privateers manager Ross Allan wasn't all too pleased, despite the win, telling reporters that the performance highlighted some clear areas for improvement moving forward. He refused to be more specific, however. "I'm not gonna publicize our weaknesses," he said. "That stuff stays in the clubhouse."
