Albany designated hitter Mike Cole was sensational. He was 3 for 4 with a home run and a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. But it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Astoria beat the Firebirds, 6-5. Josh Wahl collected save number 6. The loss makes Albany 23-23.

Astoria used a clutch at-bat from Roberto Gomez to capture the win. The left fielder hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the Argonauts ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Gomez said.
