Minneapolis Offense Jammed Up by Black Bears
In a tight tilt between the Thunder Bay Black Bears and the Minneapolis Freeze, Jonathan Fairbanks was the deciding factor. The Thunder Bay right-hander spearheaded the 3-1 win. Keith Sill earned the save for Thunder Bay. The Black Bears improved their record to 29-27 by beating Minneapolis.

Steve Molyneaux aided the Thunder Bay cause with a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the shortstop drove in one run.

"Tough loss," said Minneapolis manager Ben Jeffcoat. "But we'll learn from it."
