Argonauts Win at Home, 4-3
|
The Astoria Argonauts and State College Swallowtails played an entertaining game for Golden Fleece Park patrons.
Jason Franzoni impressed in the 4-3 Astoria win over State College. Franzoni, who is tied for 6th in the TAAA in triples with 3, was 3-4 with 3 singles. Allen Justice earned the save for Astoria, his 11th of the year.
Luis Garza aided the Astoria cause with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the designated hitter was 2 for 4 with 2 singles.
Garza called the win a test of his team's "mettle."
Astoria sits in third place in the TML AAA Cito Gaston League at 27-29.
