The Minneapolis Freeze weathered an outstanding game by Fairfield designated hitter Hunter Wells to topple the Flash, 9-6. Wells was 2-5 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Mark Walsh, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2057 draft, was the winning pitcher. Over 7 innings, he allowed 6 runs on 8 hits, with 6 walks and 5 strikeouts. The Freeze now have a record of 28-29 with the win over Fairfield.

The Flash had been locked in a 4-4 tie with the Freeze going into the bottom of the sixth inning. That changed quickly when the former first round draft pick Jeremy Owusu came to the plate. Owusu hit a 3-run home run on a full count sinker from Fairfield hurler Ricky Mora. It was Owusu's 6th home run of the year.

"I hate to be the fly in the ointment," said Owusu, "but we could've played better."
