The Joplin Fireballs banked on Ramon Franco and he turned in a masterful performance. The right-hander kept the Cozumel hitters in check. The final score was 2-0, Fireballs. Joplin goes to 24-34, Cozumel to 26-33.

The Fireballs got a big at-bat from left fielder Cooper Kroes. For the game, Kroes was 1 for 2 with a home run and a walk. In the bottom of the fifth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 3rd home run of the season gave Joplin a 1-0 lead.
