Argonauts Keep Reeling Off Wins
The Astoria Argonauts beat the Tallahassee Captains at Golden Fleece Park. The final score was 10-5, in favor of Astoria. Juan Castaneda led the way, going 3-for-5 for the home team. The winning pitcher was Cesar Magana. He tossed 125 pitches over 6.2 innings, allowing 3 runs on 5 hits. The third-place Argonauts have won 6 in a row.

Bayissa Njata went 1-3 for Astoria. The 33-year old catcher had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Jose Ayala. It was his 13th RBI of the season.

"We're obviously playing with a lot of confidence," said Astoria manager Matunde Kabaila.
