Kansas City Tornadoes starter Monty Brewster kept the West Island Jazz hitters in check, leading his team to a comfortable 6-2 win. Kansas City has a record of 10-13.

Mike Moss had a big 2-run home run for the Tornadoes in the bottom of the second inning. With Kansas City leading 1-0 and a runner on 3rd, he sized up a fastball from Oscar Alfaro, who finished 3rd in the RCL in wins with 17 last year, and punished it. The result was his 2nd home run of the season, which put the Tornadoes on top, 3-0.

"I put my work in and trusted the process," said Brewster.
