The Cowboys grabbed a win, 5-3, at The Ice Box, overcoming a fine effort from Minneapolis pitcher Mark Walsh. Walsh went 7 innings and allowed 4 runs. Calgary has run its win streak to 6 consecutive.

David Jankowski dealt the Freeze a blow in the top of the fifth. Batting with the bases loaded and Calgary leading 3-2, Jankowski hit a 1-0 curveball for a run-scoring single.

"When their pitchers are leaving stuff over the heart of the plate, we're not missing it," said Calgary manager Thomas Hughes.
