Tornadoes Drop Ridge Runners, 4-3

The Kansas City Tornadoes picked up a win at Debris Field, dropping the Eagle Rock Ridge Runners, 4-3. Trace Yeadon, who finished 4th in the TML in wins with 16 last year, was the difference-maker. Kansas City goes to 3-0 with the win.
The game was at a stalemate until first baseman Andy Chambers came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Eagle Rock pitcher Bobby Ellis, he hit a full count fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Kansas City on top, 4-3.
Chambers called the win a testament to his team's "tenacity."
