Late Rally by Cowboys Seals 7th Straight Win
|
Chris Haines brought his A-game to help Calgary defeat the Amarillo Armadillos, 3-1. The Cowboys, at 39-24, have now won 7 straight.
Calgary took a 2-1 lead on Bob Lamanske's 9th home run of the season. The solo home run, which Lamanske hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Amarillo pitcher Drew Sherman visibly frustrated.
Lamanske called the win the result of "everyone working in tandem."
