The home team was supported by a raucous crowd at Edgbaston.

A good performance from second baseman Jordan Jones helped the Thunder Bay Black Bears defeat the Reno Raiders, 6-3. Jones hit 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice for the Black Bears. With the win, the Black Bears hiked their record to 34-29.

Jones had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the seventh. On a full count fastball from Jonathan Hogle, he banged a 3-run home run to right, giving the Black Bears a 6-3 lead. It was the 6th home run of the year for Jones.

"We didn't get the results that we wanted," said Reno skipper Rod Cirilo.
