A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Cabo San Lucas Toreros and Chicago Eclipse.

The Cabo San Lucas Toreros got a stellar performance from pitcher Alejandro Castro, who handcuffed the Chicago offense en route to a win, 7-1, at Field de Los Layendas. Castro yielded 1 run over 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 3, and struck out 6. His record improves to 2-1.

Dennis Allen had a big 3-run home run for the Toreros in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Cabo San Lucas leading 2-1 and runners on 1st and 3rd, he sized up a sinker from 31-year old right-handed pitcher Joe McKnight and punished it. The result was his 6th home run of the season, which put the Toreros on top, 5-1.

Allen told the Cabo San Lucas Daily: "I was born for the big stage."

The loss lowers the Chicago record to 10-10.
