Cowboys Field was the site of a true pitchers' duel.

The Calgary Cowboys scooped up a win at Cowboys Field, dumping the Amarillo Armadillos, 2-0. Chad Allred was essential to his team's success. Gary Selby picked up his 14th save of the season.

With scoring opportunities rare, the Cowboys had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the fourth, when shortstop Arturo Tijerina hit a run-scoring single. The single came off Bryan Tetrick and made the score 1-0, Cowboys. Tijerina was 1 for 3.

"My job is to throw quality pitches, go as deep as I can, and give us an opportunity," said Allred.

Calgary improves to 40-25 with the win. They lead their division by 4 games.
