The timely hitting of John Tarr helped the Amarillo Armadillos down the Hendersonville Hens, 7-1. Tarr was 3 for 4 with a home run and a double. He scored 3 runs for the Armadillos. The Armadillos now have a record of 22-35.

Amarillo used the timely hitting of Ralph Kasher to seize the win. The catcher stroked a 2-run single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Armadillos on top, 4-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
