The performance of Alex Fernandez proved critical in helping State College beat Peoria, 10-6. The Swallowtails first baseman was 2-2 with a triple and a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. State College is 4th in the RCL AAA Bobby Cox Division with a record of 32-34.

A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the top of the ninth, with the game tied, Diego Acevez was at the plate when State College scored 1 on an error. The miscue enabled the Swallowtails to go in front, 6-5.

Swallowtails manager Afalku Coffie wasn't all too pleased, despite the win, telling reporters that the performance highlighted some clear areas for improvement moving forward. He refused to be more specific, however. "I'm not gonna publicize our weaknesses," he said. "That stuff stays in the clubhouse."
